Medical care is expected to become more specialized and segmentalized in the future. We are facing various problems arising from the diversification of values among people, an aging population, and a declining birthrate. Amid such circumstances, I would like to study informatics and biomedical sciences to be able to conduct research that contributes to future medical care. I am now considering which clinical questions I will pursue in the CIBoG program based on my clinical experience as a gastroenterologist. Some topics I am considering for my graduate studies include re-evaluation of the clinical significance of findings commonly observed in daily clinical practice and examinations such as Barrett's esophagus and bright pancreas for the purpose of stratifying future cancer risk and the development of a prognosis prediction model utilizing disease parameters. I would like to determine my future career through my research activities in the CIBoG program, always maintaining a broad vision, inquisitive mind, and awareness of problems.
