Currently, I am working with Whole-Genome Sequencing (WGS) of neurodevelopmental disorders, mainly autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability. In the psychiatry field, where the pathology is still unclear, I hope to use the latest technology to elucidate the disease mechanism as much as possible, and to give back to the people concerned by obtaining hints for diagnosis and treatments. In the CIBoG program, I would like to have opportunities to interact with people majoring in other research fields, not only physicians and medical researchers. Then, I hope to acquire communication skills that are vital to work in academia. To succeed globally and locally, I would like to try to be able to engage in academic discussions in English by participating in the CIBoG program.
